Your certificate

In shortEvery course ends with an exam. Pass it and your Certificate of Achievement for that course is issued at once and emailed to you, with a code anyone can check at /verify/. It is valid for three years; you can download it from Downloads as a PDF.

Your certificate

The moment a pass is recorded, your certificate is issued: it appears on My courses and in Downloads as a PDF, and the email tells you. It carries:

  • the award, named for the course you passed, your name, the date it was issued and the date it is valid until;
  • the CPD line: "May be recorded as N hours of structured CPD (self-declared)" - the course's hours, for your own CPD record;
  • the issuer, Clarity CDM Academy - Clarity-OO Ltd, and the signature;
  • a code and a fingerprint, printed small, with a QR code that opens the check page.

Validity, expiry and retakes

A certificate is valid for three years from the day it is issued, and your access to the course runs for the same time. Thirty days before it expires we email you once. Retake the whole course before that date at no cost, same login; after that date your access ends and the course must be bought again. A retake is the exam again, free and unlimited while your access is open: a new pass issues a new certificate with a new three years, and the old one is marked as superseded on its check page.

Checking a certificate

Anyone can check a certificate without signing in: open /verify/ followed by the code, or scan the QR. The page shows the award, the holder's name, the date and the fingerprint, and says whether the certificate stands. If the fingerprint on the page does not match the one printed on the certificate, the document has been altered. A code that does not exist says so.

A tutor can revoke a certificate, with a reason. A revoked one can no longer be downloaded and its check page says REVOKED.
